Cottage Features

Location

Crookwath cottage is set high in the fells above Ullswater in the beautiful Matterdale valley, 1200 feet above sea level in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria. Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, experience complete silence and no traffic. The cottage boasts stunning views from all windows.

The Cottage

Crookwath cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping a maximum of six people.. All linens and towels are provided. The Aga provides warmth in a welcoming kitchen and dining area, with a sofa and library.

There is also a separate large living room with a traditional range and wood burner. A TV and a Bose sound deck provide entertainment if needed, and there is full Wi-Fi and a 4G Vodafone signal.

Logs, electricity and oil for the central heating are all included.

Pets

Pets are welcome up to a maximum of 2 dogs, and no larger than a labrador.

Parking

There is off-road parking for two cars.

Garden

Please enjoy the walks and benches above the cottage, and the picnic tables on the decking of the hut above the cottage and outside the front door. You are invited to use our woodland and barn as your garden. It’s a short walk and a wonderful place to be on a good day.

Lucy’s Wood

You have use of the barn in Lucy’s Wood  for BBQ’s and an outside open fire down there. Deck chairs are available in the barn. Enjoy our 22 Acre woodland, find 15 seats dotted around it! Walk the spiral labyrinth. There is a pond, a swing near the barn, a stone seat higher up in the wood with a Chimenea to keep you warm if you want to star gaze. Walk along Aira Beck and find our pool for wild swimming.
